Support Starts with Community

About Us
Middletown Valley People Helping People (MVPHP) in Middletown, Maryland, is a volunteer organization working to provide assistance to members of our community who are in need. We primarily serve residents of the Middletown school feeder system and partner with agencies and churches throughout Frederick County, Maryland.

Emergency Assistance
We provide emergency assistance to those facing housing challenges including evictions and utility shutoffs and can offer help with security deposits. We provide small emergency support in the form of gift cards on a case by case basis. Emergency assistance volunteers can be reached between 9 am and 5 pm Monday – Friday at 301-371-3119.

- Empty Bowls BanquetWe want to express our gratitude for the wonderful support for the 29th Annual Empty Bowls Banquet held in March. The community came together to support our cause and awareness of hunger in our area and were told about the Weekend Backpack program offered to school students in the Middletown area school feeder system through the outreach of Middletown United Methodist Church. Thank you to the speakers, the organizers at the Middletown High School and in the Arts community and to all of you who supported this program.
